Natali's (they/them) lived experience drives the story of the modern main character in their debut novel. Natali is a non-binary, polyamorous, neurodivergent strega who presents as a white female. They have lived the intergenerational trauma of Mafia great-grandparents—and healed from fifty-two years of abusive relationships through mystical rituals. As a highly sensitive person, they have a history of activism against police violence. Natali's experience in green infrastructure shapes the arc of the story; nature shifts from something to be saved to something that can save us as Marino’s mindset evolves from civil engineer to mystic.
Natali writes their books tucked away in the lush temperate rainforests of the Pacific Northwest, happily ensconced in a camper van of their own design.
